To position the Global South Economic Forum (GSEF) as a leader in sustainable food systems by advancing permaculture, agroecology, and regenerative farming practices that strengthen communities, ecosystems, and economies.

Advancing Ecological Farming and Food Security
- Promote Permaculture Design: Encourage adoption of ecosystem-based farming models across rural and peri-urban regions.
- Soil Health & Water Security: Drive initiatives in composting, organic soil restoration, rainwater harvesting, and greywater reuse.
- Agri-Innovation & Technology: Foster integration of precision farming, AgriTech, and bioeconomy innovations to support smallholders.
- Community Empowerment: Enable farmer cooperatives, training programs, and rural entrepreneurship to scale inclusive growth.

The Permaculture and Sustainable Farming Committee includes:

- Environmental Scientists & Climate Experts guiding soil, water, and biodiversity conservation.

Engagement with Stakeholders: Rooted in Action
Local-Level Engagement:
- Collaborate with municipal and rural development authorities to promote urban farming, food forests, and community gardens.
State-Level Collaboration:
- Work with agricultural universities, Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), and state agriculture departments to scale permaculture training.
Global South Cooperation:
- Partner with ministries of agriculture, international research bodies (e.g., CGIAR, FAO), and climate finance institutions to accelerate regenerative farming across continents.

The Director of Sustainable Agriculture will:
