The Government Relations and Development Advocacy Committee is dedicated to fostering strategic engagement with governments and authorities across the Global South to drive comprehensive growth for GSEF. Its members bring a combined wealth of public-policy experience from diverse countries, acting as a bridge between businesses, communities, and policymakers to ensure that economic and infrastructural priorities are effectively communicated and addressed.

- Facilitate Constructive Dialogue: Create a platform for seamless communication between businesses, residents, and government bodies.

Key Focus Areas
- Infrastructure Development:
- Engage with BMC, MMRDA, and the Ministry of Urban Development for urban planning and infrastructure upgrades.
- Public Utilities and Civic Services:
- Collaborate with utility providers and State Energy Boards for reliable power, water, and sanitation services.
- Transportation and Connectivity:
- Work with Metro Authorities, Western Railway, and the Airport Authority of India to improve transport and logistics.
- Business Compliance and Ease of Doing Business:
- Advocate with National Capital Region Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), GST Departments, and the Ministry of Finance for simplified regulatory frameworks.
- Skill Development and Employment:
- Liaise with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and State Labor Departments to bridge workforce gaps.
- Environmental and Sustainable Development:
- Partner with National Capital Region Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change for eco-friendly policies.
- Trade and Industry Growth:
- Work with Export Promotion Councils, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and State Commerce Departments to boost trade.
- Affordable Housing and Real Estate:
- Collaborate with MAHADA, Urban Development Authorities, and Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) for housing initiatives.
Engagement Strategy
- Regular Dialogues: Conduct quarterly meetings with government representatives to discuss GSEF-specific priorities.
- Policy Advocacy: Draft whitepapers and recommendations for infrastructure, business growth, and sustainability initiatives.
